Our Projects

Completed projects include slash and burn, mechanical mastication, and hand fuel reduction work, depending on terrain. We have also successfully implemented innovative and sustainable land clearing methods locally in Calaveras County, including goat and sheep grazing as part of a multi faceted approach to land and forest management.

California Forestry Alliance also practices building compost and high-grade soil from woody biomass acquired from land clearing and fuels reduction, and arborist work.

About Us

California Forestry Alliance is a 503(c) non-profit based in Calaveras County, CA. Our experienced team has a long history of providing tree and fuel removal solutions for construction and ecological restoration services for federal, state and private sectors.

Specifically, our goal is to connect economically underserved communities and tribes within the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada foothills with job opportunities to reduce hazardous fuels, restore habitats, and protect infrastructure. Our board is composed of Calaveras Band of Mi-Wuk Indians members and others who are originally from the Sierra Nevada, representing a life-long connection to and understanding of these lands.
